WP 463 was part of a 5 car order built by International Car Company in 1969. The WP was merged into the Union Pacific in December 1982 and these five 1969 461 class WP cabooses became UP CA-15 class cars. In June 1984 UP painted the 463 armor yellow along with 7 other WP cabooses. It retained its WP reporting mark and original number. It was stored in Stockton by August 1984 and retired by Union Pacific in 1985 then generously donated to the Quincy Chamber of Commerce in Quincy, CA in 1987. The car sat at the Plumas County Fairgrounds for years before being moved to private property in Sloat, CA where it is today and serves as a guest house.
