Union Pacific 3317 is a wood cupola side door caboose. It was originally a Los Angeles & Salt Lake class CA car that was built in 1905 and retired in 1926 and then sold to the Santa Maria Valley Railroad to become SMVR 170. It is presently located next to the restored Southern Pacific Oceano depot in Oceano, California and when these images were taken it was undergoing a comprehensive restoration. Images were taken September 18, 2007.
