Captive Caboose Union Pacific 25599

UP 25599 is a CA-8 steel cupola caboose and the last car in its class of 100 cars total. It was built in December 1964 and was retired by Union Pacific June 1989. The car was generously donated to the Western Area Railroad Museum collection where it is on display next to the "Casa Del Desierto" (house of the desert), the Barstow, California depot/Harvey House, along with ATSF Ce-8 caboose 999728 and various other cars and locomotives.
