UP 25256 is a CA-5 steel cupola caboose. It was built as UP 3856 in July 1952 and was renumbered 25256 in June 1959. Union Pacific retired the car in September 1983 and generously donated it to the California State Railroad Museum where it is located today. The first image was taken on December 29, 2001 and the second on January 3, 2003. The final three were taken May 30, 2007.
