Captive Caboose - Southern Pacific 4217

SP 4217 is a rebuilt C-40-5 class steel bay window caboose. The unrestored car is located at the Featherbed Railroad Company resort along with numerous other cabooses that have been converted into guest cabins (this car is NOT a guest cabin and is simply in the storage area of the property awaiting future conversion or reuse). The resort is located on the north shore of Clearlake in Nice, California. Images taken on May 25, 2007.
