LV 95003 is one of a group of 40 steel cupola cabooses that were built by the Lehigh Valley Shops in Sayre, PA in 1941. These cabooses are reported to have been built from subassemblies that were prefabricated by Bethlehem Steel Company. In 1976 the car became Conrail 18644. It was donated to Steamtown by Conrail in 1988 and delivered in 1990 when it was repainted in its original LV scheme. This caboose is part of the collection at the Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Images were taken July 21, 2000.
