Illinois Terminal 988 is a steel bay window caboose that was built by St. Louis Car Company in 1953. I've read reference that this car also served as N&W 557988 but I have no data to confirm this. This caboose is part of the collection at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. Images were taken June 11, 2006
