IC 9792 is one of a group of 100 side door equipped 28' steel cupola cabooses built in 1939-1940. This car is reported to have been altered for Atomic Energy Commission in 1956 then de-equipped and returned to regular service in 1960. This caboose is part of the collection at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. Image taken June 11, 2006
