This California Western wood cupola car has no obvious markings so I'm not sure which car it is. There is what looks like a "house number" affixed to the side of the car below the cupola which looks like a "10". I can't find any reference to this specifc car though so its identity remains unclear to me. When I spotted it in 2005, it was on the property of the Willits Redwood Company (220 Franklin Ave Willits, CA 95490) adjacent to the Willits to Fort Bragg line of the California Western and alongside California Western Railroad #53, a Baldwin DS4-4-1000 diesel, which has since been moved to the Roots of Motive Power museum in Willits. I do not know the current location or status of the caboose. Images were taken on January 29, 2005.
