I wasn't really sure if CR 21262 was a captive caboose or if it was on its way somwhere else when I first found it in 2005. Until then I had never seen it appear on any captive caboose lists for California but it has since been added and as of August 2007, the car is still in Fillmore. This is a N-21 class car, part of a group of 113 cars numbered 21201-21313 and bought new by Conrail in 1978. These were the only cabooses bought new by Conrail and they are a welded, half-height bay window design built by Fruit Growers Express in Alexandria, VA. The car is located at the Fillmore & Western Railway in Fillmore, CA. The first four images were taken on Febuary 12, 2005 and the last two on August 12, 2007.
