CCT 24 is a former Santa Fe steel caboose (originally ATSF 1547) and at the time of this writing is being moved to the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola, CA for preservation. This car is from a group of the 150 original steel cars built for the Santa Fe in 1927 by AC&F. CCT 24 is complete and in excellent condition and plans to cosmetically restore her as an interpretive "caboose life" display at the museum are scheduled to get underway this season. Images were taken on July 15, 2004 and show the car in CCT's Stockton carbarn prior to donation to the FRRS.
