Captive Caboose (Waycar) - Chicago Burlington & Quincy 13572

CB&Q 13572 was built by the CB&Q in their Havelock, Nebraska shops in 1960 as a NE 12A class car. It later became BN 10343. I don't know the BN retirement date, when it came to IRM or when it was reconditioned to appear as it did when built, but it's a beautiful car inside and out. This waycar (as they were referred to on the CB&Q) is part of the collection at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. Images taken June 11, 2006
