Captive Caboose - Baltimore & Ohio C2222 |
| B&O C2222 is a C-6A class (originally I-5D class) wood sheathed cupola caboose. It was part of a group of 272 cars built between 1924 to 1929 from I-5 and I-5C class cars for pusher (helper) service in which the wheelbase was lengthened by 4 feet and cement and scrap steel were added under the floor to increase the weight of the car. This car is now part of the collection at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. Images taken on October 1, 2006. |
